I’m a fifty-something wanna-be writer and I’m constantly trying to reinvent myself. I’m fiercely devoted to my family. My husband and I run a business together. Our kids are grown and out of the nest. I’m pretty darn proud of them and excited for the journey they’re traveling. Our household is ruled by a six year old Lab mix named Duke. I love to read and write. I don’t think I’m very good at either. A walk in our woods is like therapy to me. My four little chickens make me laugh every day. I believe that well water is naturally better. My religion is not perfect, but it guides me every day. I have half a dozen crafty things that I like to do and more than half a dozen unfinished projects. I started collecting antique photos a couple of years ago and love to give a home to those abandoned family members who ended up at antique stores and flea markets. And then, as if that weren’t enough, I’ve started collecting antique advertising trade cards. They’re harder to find. I will be showcasing both here in my little corner. I love horses and I love history and would love to start a research project that combines the two. I started reading the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder when I was eleven. The books and their author have helped mold me into the person I am today and my goal is to preserve her legacy.
