Antique Photo #3

Same mom, same baby, same buggy, same house, same date.
I wish there was some way to tell where they were!

  1. I really struggle with old pictures similar to the one above that have no information written on the back of them. Last week-end, I threw up my hands and gave up trying to identify the people in some pictures from the early 1900s–and shifted my focus to some photos from the 1950s and 1960s. I can identify the people in the latter group of photos, so I spent the afternoon writing the names on the backs of those photos, so that when they eventually become really old pictures people will know who the people are.

  2. You’re so right. Collecting old photos has made me realize that dating my own pictures is not enough. I have started the process of going back through and writing who and sometimes what the even is on the backs of our family photos. My mother-in-law is really good about that. Looking through her photos, there is never a question of who and what.

I would love to hear what you think!
