E is for Edelweiss

This was a tough one. I’m trying really hard not to go back and see what I’ve done for the past two years.

I love The Sound of Music. I think it’s safe to say it’s my favorite movie of all time. I love every song, but there are a couple that are favorites of mine. “Edelweiss” is one of them. Plus, Frankenmuth, Michigan is one of my most favorite places to go and you see a lot of little Edelweiss flowers here and there.

I don't have any Edelweiss-related Frankenmuth pictures. So...here's Frankenmuth. There really are images of Edelweiss all over. And if you're lucky, an accordionist will play Edelweiss while you're at the Bavarian Inn.

And without further ado, I present Edelweiss…

  1. This looks a lot like my F entry is going to be.
At some point, we will have dinner there at the same time!!

  2. One of mine and Steve’s favorite places to visit was Helen, Georgia. They had an Edelweiss Inn there we loved staying in. The food was also delicious. Many great memories……….

  3. I’m a fan of all things Austrian (parents are and I have dual citizenship); I had the pleasure, on a visit to Salzburg, not that long ago, to wander on the site where Sound of Music was playing.

Like you, Sound of Music is on my top ten list! Great choice for an E post!
